Our history
Before earning his reputation as an industry-leading custom structure manufacturer, our founder, Amos Lapp, began his journey in the early 1980s by crafting furniture in the family barn. His keen eye for detail and commitment to quality quickly earned him a reputation in the local community. In 1987, Amos built his first mini barn, which marked the beginning of Lapp Structures as we know it today.
As demand for high-quality outdoor structures grew, Amos decided to concentrate exclusively on storage buildings. Requests for larger structures and sheds with custom features poured in, highlighting the value of focusing on these tailored needs. Amos’s commitment to “building a good product and treating people right” resonated with customers, and his dedication to quality craftsmanship and personalized service laid the foundation for the company’s continued success.
After Amos passed away in 2017, his son, Mike Lapp, took the helm. Under Mike’s leadership, the company continues to thrive, upholding the values and standards set by Amos.
